Deco Hotel Canberra

The accommodation was clean and had all the facilities that you would need for a hotel stay. I would highly recommend the onsite restaurant and buffet breakfast which were both excellent. The hotel location was very close to the Light Rail network and not far from the city which was great.

The room was a good size with nice decor. Loved the automated curtain opener! Breakfast was good but not a big selection/choice. Happy hour at the bar was great! The restaurant had nice food but it was pricey. The metro was only a short walk away and it took you right into the CBD. The Haigh Village markets on a Sunday was only an easy 15 minute walk. The wait staff were friendly.

It was great to have a room with a lounge and a table and chairs so you had options for where to sit (beside the bed). Comfortable bed, good shower and bathroom and nicely decorated. The breakfast was good and we had lunch in the restaurant when we arrived and it was great. While it is located in Braddon, be aware it's a 15-20 minute walk (or a quick tram ride) to the restaurant/shop part of Braddon. Love the $10 food and beverage voucher if you don't get your room serviced – good to see some hotels encouraging guests to save on cleaning costs and resources!!

I recently stayed at Deco Hotel Canberra and couldn’t have been more impressed. From start to finish, my experience was exceptional: Room The room itself was fantastic—spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully appointed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with plush linens that made it hard to leave in the morning. Thoughtful touches like a Nespresso machine, a well-stocked mini‑bar, and automated blackout curtains ensured both convenience and comfort. Staff Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make my stay special. From the warm welcome at check‑in to the attentive housekeeping team, we felt genuinely cared for. Downstairs Bar The downstairs bar was a highlight. The cocktail menu was creative and extensive, and each drink was expertly crafted. Breakfast Breakfast in the morning was incredible. The buffet offered a wide variety of hot dishes alongside fresh pastries, seasonal fruits, and delicious Bircher muesli. The coffee was excellent, and the breakfast service team kept everything replenished and welcoming.

The room was very modern and spacious. The happy hour in the bar was a lovely bonus. Just a short walk to the tram stop and a short tram ride to the city centre. The staff were extremely helpful when I left something behind after checkout. I was able to get it returned to me.
